Onion Tomato Thokku

Onion N tomato Thokku , an excellent dish can help u at any moment, u dont have any side dish for breakfast, this thokku goes awesome with idlies, dosai, uthappams as well as chappathis, bored of making gravies for lunch, just prepare this thokku n mix with cooked rice, tasty tomato rice ready within few minutes..


2nos Onion(Big)
6nos Tomatos(ripe n juicy)
1/4tsp turmeric powder
1tsp cumin seed
2nos Green chillies
2tsp Coriander leaves
5nos curry leaves
Salt
Oil

To grind:
1tsp fennel seeds
3tsps poppy seeds
2tsp Coriander seeds
5nos red chillies
1tsp Cumin seeds

Grind all the ingredients as fine paste with enough water...

Chop finely the onions n tomatoes n slit open the green chillies..

Heat oil in a pan add the cumin seeds n let them splutters, add the onions with salt n turmeric powder..once they turns transculent add the tomatoes pieces n stir until they turns mushy, add the grounded paste to the veggies n stir them occasionally, keep them in simmer, cook until the oil gets separated..add the coriander leaves n curry leaves ..put off the stove..

Can be a side dish for any sort of breakfast items as well as can prepare them as Tomato rice, serve with papads r with chips r else with boiled eggs..

Can conserve in fridge for a week...
