Baked Oats Crusted Oats & Veggies Patties

Healthy version of patties or cutlets with quick cooking oats as crust, baked in oven for 15 to 20 minutes, Is there anything healthier than these patties?? definitely i dont think so..I prepare these patties with cooked potatoes, cooked carrots, cooked green peas with red chilly powder, garam masala powder, salt and dry roasted quick cooking oats, crusted directly with quick cooking oats instead of dipping them in a corn flour sauce and rolling them in oats..This baked oats crust oats and veggies patties was just a big success at home and we enjoyed having this healthy patties for our evening snacks and the lil ones enjoyed with ketchup...I can definitely say this baking version needs very less oil and very less attention compared when we shallow fry these patties in pan..Just with 2tsp of oil, ur patties turns prefectly crispy, well coloured and well cooked, baking this patties is one of the better and best way to enjoy these patties in case if u are health conscious..U wont regret baking this patties, and will definitely prepare this patties often since this patties goes for very less ingredients which we use almost in our daily menu..

1cup Cooked potatoes
1/2cup Carrot (chopped)
1/4cup Green peas
1/4cup Quick cooking oats
1nos Onion (chopped)
1tsp Green chillies (chopped)
1/2tsp Fennel seed powder
1/2tsp Red chilly powder
1/2tsp Garam masala powder
Salt
Oil

Heat a tsp of oil, add the chopped onions, chopped green chillies and saute until the onions turns transculent, add the chopped carrots and green peas, cook again for few minutes..add the fennel seed powder, red chilly powder, garam masala powder and salt and cook everything in simmer until the veggies get slightly cooked, finally add the cooked and smashed potatoes to the veggies and cook everything in simmer until all the veggies get well cooked as masala, meanwhile dry roast the oats in simmer and add the dry roasted oats to the veggie masala and toss gently until the oats get well mixed..keep aside and let them cool..Preheat the oven at 350F..

Make small golf size balls from the masala, flatten them with ur palms..roll the patties directly the quick cooking oats and keep aside...Brush the oil over a baking sheet and arrange the oats crusted oats and veggies patties and bake for 15-20minutes until the oats crust turns brown..

Enjoy with ketchup or any sweet chutney!
