Baked Chickpeas & Broccoli Vada

Apart from me, everyone at home enjoy rarely foods prepared with broccolis, somehow i never stopped buying them and try to feed my family quite often with this wonderful vegetable..Believe me or not our recent family favourite is this super tempting guilt free baked chickpeas and broccoli vadas, i prepared them this weekend for our evening snacks..For my surprise,everyone at home loved this super crispy and totally addictive vadas with sweet chilli sauce..Quite an interesting way to sneak broccolis, those finely chopped broccoli florets suits prefectly for making this kind of delicious guilt free vadas for the sure..Just enjoyed them with a cup of tea for your snacks...Sending to Vardhini's Bake Fest and to Denny's & Krithi's Serve it - Savoury Baked..


2cups Chickpeas (soaked overnite)
1/2cup Broccoli (chopped finely)
1no Onion chopped
1tbsp Fennel seeds
1tsp Ginger (grated)
3nos Garlic cloves (crushed)
2nos Green chillies
2tbsp Coriander leaves chopped
Salt
Oil for brushing


Grind coarsely the soaked chickpeas in a blender with fennel seeds.. add the chopped onions,chopped broccoli, chopped chilly pieces,grated ginger,crushed garlic cloves,chopped coriander leaves to the chickpeas batter with enough salt..


Preheat the oven for 350F..place a baking sheet over a baking tray...take a small ball from the batter,flatten them in ur palms ...brush the baking sheet with oil, place the flattened vada, brush the top with oil..bake them by turning on both sides with a wooden spatula for  25-30 minutes or until they turns brown on both sides..

Serve them hot with any chutneys!!!!

I agree with cham, it looks so crispy, did you check mine akka? it is almost like telepathy- I made chickpea thayir vadai, scheduled it and went to sleep :)
