Instant Coriander Oats Rava Idli

We guys stopped having Indian breakfast foods since a long  for our breakfast and we go for cereals, bread toast or porridge for our morning breakfast, so we dont bother to have idlies or rotis for our lunch instead of usual rice and other stuffs...I prepared these green idlies yesterday for our lunch as my H went out for his official works, so no need to cook rice or pastas to pack up for his lunch..Anyhow i dont want to cook rice and prepared simply these idlies which i served along with spicy coconut chutney..Both together tastes wonderful and we had a healthy, light and simple lunch with these idlies and chutney...As these idlies goes for instant version, its quite simple to get ready within less time...Am sending this spongy idlies to Srivalli's Breakfast Mela..

Instant Coriander Oats Idli

1/2cup Rava/Semolina
1cup Rolled oats
1+1/2cup Sour yogurt
1/2tsp Eno salt
1/2cup Coriander leaves
1tsp Ginger (grated)
2nos Green chillies
1/2tsp Cumin seeds
Salt
Oil

Grind the coriander leaves, ginger, cumin seeds and green chillies with half a cup of yogurt as fine paste...Grind coarsely the rolled oats, now take the rava, grounded rolled oats, grounded coriander paste, salt and remaining yogurt together in a bowl as thick batter, finally add the eno salt, give a quick stir and pour the batter in a greased idli plate..Steam cook in idly cooker for 15-20minutes..

Serve with any spicy chutney or sambar..

Do check my buddies wats they are cooking for our 4th day of blogging marathon..

Priya,
I feel this combination works for me much more than the Corn and Oats Idli. Hot off the mould, it was fine but the flavour of corn with that light seasoning did not go too well for some.
I did feel that a dhokla spicing might work and this sounds perfect!
