Strawberry Shrikhand

Shrikhand is an Indian sweet dish made of strained yogurt. It is one of the main desserts in Gujarati cuisine and Maharashtrian cuisine. The yogurt is tied and hung until all the water has drained off, the result being a thick and creamy yogurt. Dried and fresh fruit such are also added to make out shrikhand. Other ingredients include sugar, cardamom powder, saffron strands, any fruit essences. Shrikhand is popular in western India. Thought of making them a bit different i prepared this time the shrikhand with strawberry chunks...Within few minutes the whole bowl which i prepared vanished, and i have just tasted few teaspoons of this delicious strawberry shrikhand..Delicious, refreshing, fabulous, colourful and flavourful strawberry shrikhand goes obviously to Happy Cook's  Strawberry Feast ...

2cups Yogurt
2tbsp Powdered sugar
20nos Strawberries
1/2tsp Cardamom powder

Pour the yogurt in a strainer and keep aside in fridge, after 4hours u may see a thick creamy yogurt..now chop finely the strawberries and keep aside few strawberry chunks for garnishing..mix the creamy yogurt, powdered sugar, cardamom powder and chopped strawberry chunks, give a stir gently..

Serve the strawberry shrikhand garnished with few strawberry chunks!! on the way to Lore's Original Recipes..
