Oats N Methi Paratha

Oats are one of the best sources of soluble fiber, which help in the reduction of total cholesterol along with LDL or “bad” cholesterol. In addition to reducing the risk of heart disease, oat fiber also helps to control blood sugar. They also contain a high content of calcium, potassium and magnesium along with high quantity of B complex which together help in the healthy functioning of the nervous system.Oat contain soluble fiber which slows down the digestion of starch and thus proves beneficial for diabetic patients as it prevents the sharp rise in blood sugar level which generally occurs after meals. While the soluble fiber of oat helps in the prevention of cholesterol absorption by the body, the insoluble fiber present in it is useful to treat digestion related problems like constipation. In addition, oats also act as a natural anti-depressant which helps to treat tension, anxiety and nervous disorder. Also we know that methi leaves have many medicial values..i have combined these both healthy ingredients together to make out paratha..they turned out really delicious, flavourful and healthy...We enjoyed having this oats and methi parathas with chilly paneer, both dishes together made our dinner tooo yummy and delicious...Am sending these healthy parathas to CFK-Leafy Greens guest hosted by Pavani of Cook's Hideout, event started by Sharmi also sending to EFM June- Breakfast & Variety Rice Series by Srilekha...

2cups Wheat flour
1cup Rolled Oats
1/2cup Methi leaves(chopped)
1/2tsp Garam masala powder
1cup Yogurt
Salt
2tsp Olive oil
All purpose flour for dusting
Grind the rolled oats as bit coarse powder...Combine in a large vessel both wheat flour, coarsely grounded oatmeal, finely chopped methi leaves, garam masala powder, yogurt, salt and oil as soft dough (can add water if needed)..keep aside for half and hour..
Make medium sized balls from the dough, dust with all purpose flour and roll as round parathas...drizzle few drops of oil in a hot tawa and cook on both sides until they get well cooked...
