Beets N Broken Wheat Kheer

Are you craving for something healthy made with wheat based kheer, u have to give trial to this delicious kheer..i prepared this kheer myself as i bought beets from the farmer's market this weekend..after making curries with beets, everyone at home were bored of having this healthy beets..for a change i tried this kheer with beets n broken wheat...i used to prepare kheer with broken wheat but this time i added beets puree grounded with almond powder, flavoured with fresh grounded cardamom pieces, this kheer suits prefectly as dessert after lunch...This delicious kheer goes to JFI-Wheat guest hosted by Roma, event started by Indira,also goes to FIC-Pink/Rose guest hosted by Me, event started by Sunshinemomof Tongue Ticklers, finally to Lets g nuts- Almonds guest hosted by JZ, event started by Aquadaze.....



1/4cup Broken Wheat
1cup Cooked n Grated Beets +Cooked water
2tbsp Almond powder
3/4cup Sugar
1cup Milk
2tsp Cardamom powder
Few Almond flakes

Cook the broken wheat with sugar n milk in a heavy bottomed pan, meanwhile grind  together the cooked n grated beets, almond powder until they turns as fine paste with the beets cooked water... once the broken wheat gets bit cooked add the almond-beets paste, bring to boil..put in simmer n cook until they get well cooked..finally add the cardamom powder...springle the almond flakes while serving..

Serve hot r chilled as u prefer!!!
