Instant Ragi & Rava Idli

I love instant versions of idlies or dosas which makes the life easier also at the same time these instant versions get ready very quickly and goes awesome for breakfast or dinner if u dont have that much time to prepare the traditional idli batter, recently i couldnt stop myself to make instant idlies with different variations and this ragi and rava idli is one among those instant as well as healthy version of idli..I simply prepared this idli using store bought ragi flour and roasted rava with usual way of making instant idli..When served with coconut chutney, this idli tastes marvellous...Sending to Satya's Twist the Traditional - Idli..

Instant Ragi & Rava idli

1/2cup Ragi flour
1cup Rava (roasted)
2cups Sour yogurt
2nos Green chillies (chopped)
1/2tsp Eno Salt or Baking soda
1/4tsp Mustard seeds
1/4tsp Urad dal
1/2tsp Channadal
Few curry leaves
Salt
Oil

Heat few drops of oil, let splutters the mustard seeds, urad dal and channadal..add immediately chopped green chillies, curry leaves, fry for few seconds...

Meanwhile mix the ragiflour, roasted rava, sour yogurt in a bowl, add this tempered spices to them and finally add the eno salt..stir quickly and pour a ladle of batter to the greased idli plates..Steam cook in idly cooker for 15-20minutes..

Hi Priya,
I tried these today and followed the recipe exactly, however they came out a bit dense. What could I have done wrong. They tasted good though, just a bit heavy.
Thanks
