Baked Oats Crusted Poha Cutlets

One more healthy,yummy,truly a delicious guilt free cutlets to enjoy with some ketchup for evening snacks or between two slices of toasted bread as sandwich,u have numerous choice to enjoy this healthy cutlets, i prepared this cutlet using poha and potatoes and these cutlets turned out super prefect, also instead of shallow frying i went for baking and used rolled oats for crust, needless to say we enjoyed having these baked beauties..Sending to Kurinji's Healthy Recie Hunt - Poha..

Baked Poha cutlets

2nos Potatoes (big & cooked)
1cup Thin poha/rice flakes
1no Onion (big & chopped)
2nos Green chillies (chopped)
1tsp Garam masala powder
Salt
1/2tsp Mustard seeds +urad dal
Rolled oats (for crust)
Oil

Heat a tsp of oil, let splutters the mustard seeds, urad dal, add immediately the chopped onions,chopped green chillies, sauté until the onions turns transculent, meanwhile soak the poha in hot water, strain the water and keep aside...Now add the softened poha,garam masala,salt and mashed potatoes to the cooking veggies,sauté everything for few minutes, finally add the coriander leaves and put off the stove..

Preheat the oven to 350F..Grease a baking sheet with oil, makes medium sized balls from the potato-poha mixture, roll them over the rolled oats,flatten them and arrange over the greased baking sheet..bake for 20-25minutes (turn twice the cutlets while baking) until the crust turns golden brown,enjoy warm with ketchup..
