Srilankan Minced Meat Rolls

Srilankan cuisine, this cuisine is one of my favourite after Thai and Chinese cuisines. Whenever i get a chance to cook from this cuisine, i wont hesitate a second to check their delectable dishes to grab something interesting from this incredible cuisine. Though i have cooked couple of dishes from this cuisine, am yet to dish out many interesting recipes. However my today's post is a fantastic evening snack foods which is quite well known in Srilanka. Yes this Srilankan rolls are savoury rolls which can prepared either with meat to vegetable filling. Srilankan rolls are absolutely my kind of snack foods, these rolls are as much as like Chinese egg rolls which calls from Egg-roll wrapper, filled with spicy filling which is later breaded and fried until they turns golden brown. Though i have already posted a vegetarian version of Srilankan Rolls, here comes an another meat version of Srilankan Rolls.

The best part of these rolls is they can be prepared earlier a day if you are planning for a party or for a get together. Once fried, they can stay prefect if conserved properly in fridge. My kids are ardent fan of this crispy Srilankan rolls, obviously i do prepare often with different filling from vegetarian to meat. However fish stuffing is quite a popular one among the Srilankan rolls do exists. Am running this week's blogging marathon with an interesting theme, yes my theme for this week is Pick 3 Asian Countries', obviously i picked Srilanka for this first day of this week's blogging marathon.

I had no idea that the Sri Lankans made a snack similar to the Chinese rolls. That's one cuisine that I still need to explore. Coating the rolls with egg and crumbs makes them so crunchy. Would love to try out the veggie version.

This looks so crispy, at first I thought you rolled it into bread. I make this with vegetable filling, but never rolled them with bread crumbs, will try this option.
