Vanilla Icecream Crepe with Treacle Syrup

French pancakes are well known as Crepes, this thin pancakes are quite famous and its all time favourite food of my kids. They just devour it with anything though their favourite crepe is always with nutella spread. But today's recipe is completely different from the usual way of serving crepes. Yes my today's post is a fantabulous dessert after a meal, a simple and quite an easy dessert to make just in few seconds if you have crepes and store bought icecream. However am not a person to go for store bought ones, obviously i prepared both crepes with wheat flour and all purpose flour and the vanilla icecream with sweetened condensed milk and thick cream.

This post is going to be the third and final post of this week's blogging marathon as am running Take away foods as this week's theme. I usually make crepes with all purpose flour, but this time i halved the quantity of all purpose flour with whole wheat flour. Trust me the addition of whole wheat flour doesnt make any change either in taste or in texture. Everyone at home enjoyed thoroughly their wheat crepe with a scoop of vanilla icecream drizzled with black treacle syrup which i recently bought in Mark & Spencer and this syrup works prefectly awesome to have with pancakes, try this treacle syrup if you want to avoid chocolate syrup. Icecream crepe, Crepe with Vanilla icecream

1/2cup All purpose flour
1/2cup Whole wheat flour
1no egg
1+1/2cup Milk
1tsp Vanilla essence
2tsp Butter (melted)
2tbsp Sugar (optional)
Butter for greasing

Whisk everything together until they turn smooth, the batter should be bit watery.

Heat a skillet or pan, grease the skillet with butter, pour a ladle full of batter in the center of the pan , move the pan in clockwise until the batter cover the entire bottom.

Cook until they turns lightly golden, cook another side for few minutes..

Vanilla Icecream crepe with treacle syrup

Transfer to a plate,fold it as triangle and drop a scoop of vanilla icecream either inside the crepe or else top the crepe with a scoop of icecream.

Drizzle it with black treacle syrup, enjoy immediately.
