Hot Mustard Rice

Hot mustard rice goes for easy breezy preparation, you can make up this hot rice anytime if you have cooked rice in ur fridge or some leftover rice...This rice suits incredibly prefect for lunch box menu and serve it with papads,raitas or any spicy side dish, you will truly have a filling lunch...I have added few chopped onions and chopped garlic cloves to enhance the flavour of this rice, if you dont like or want to make without onions and garlic cloves you can very well prepare this rice just with the spice powder specially prepared for making this rice...Easy to prepare and tastes simply marvellous with a fantastic flavour of mustard seeds,garlic and onions...Sending this hot mustard rice to my own event CWS-Mustard seeds guest hosted by Kiran & to Akila"s DNSW -H..

Hot Mustard Rice

2cups Cooked rice
1no Onion (chopped)
6nos Garlic cloves (chopped)
1tbsp Mustard seeds
5nos Dry red chillies
Salt
Oil
Few curry leaves
1tsp Mustard seeds+Urad dal
1/4tsp Asafoetida powder

Grind the mustard seeds, dry red chillies with salt as fine powder, heat enough oil in a large kadai, let splutters the mustard seeds and urad dal along with asafoetida powder..add immediately the chopped garlic,saute until they turns slightly brown,now add the onions,curry leaves and cook until the onions turns transculent..

Add the cooked rice,grounded spice powder to the onions and toss everything gently until the rice get well mixed with the spice powder..

Serve with raitas or papads..
