Pear Sorbet

Am a big foodie, but trying to keep away from high calorie dishes, yep i skipped completely butter, eggs, creams etc and obviously most of my dinner or lunch goes for salads, soups or else bakes with less calories..Since few days, we are enjoying super sunny days eventhough its not summer here, obviously we need some super refreshing juices, icecreams to relish or drink to the beat the heat, i tried making out this easy breezy pear sorbet two days back simply with ripen pears, lemon juice and sugar, this sorbet turned out super prefect, less in calorie, highly refreshing and completely guilt free, my teddies enjoyed having this delicious sorbet even after their dinner, yep we loved it...Am sending this wonderful pear sorbet to Jay's Let's Relishh-Icecream & to Denny's Serve it-Chilled...

Pear Sorbet

3cups Pears (chopped)
1cup Sugar
2tbsp Lemon juice

Blend together the pears and sugar as a thick puree, dont add water, now add the lemon juice to the pear puree, pour this thick pear puree in a stainless steel box and keep in freezer, after an hour stir the pear puree and keep again in freezer...Keep stirring twice or thrice for an hour...before serving, take out the frozen sorbet and keep in fridge for few minutes...

Serve the pear sorbet as scoops and enjoy!

Not a sorbet fan at all .. but i see from your recipe that you don;t need an ice cream maker for this .. which is a good news for me :)

You know, the weather is super hot here, and I'm hooked to frozen yogurt, but you can imagine how expensive it is. So, this is a good alternative. :)
