Parsi Style Brown rice is one among the traditional rice dish served along with their famous Dhansak,a Parsi gravy. Most of the Parsi's sunday's favourite is this Brown rice and Dhansak and even for few this Brown rice means Special occasions. I crossed many delicious Parsi style brown rice, but however i want to stick with the traditional one, obviously i picked this brown rice from here. I just loved the spice mixture used in this dish and this brown rice is quite easy to make. Obviously i grinded up the spice mixture before starting the cooking process and the spice mixture gives an excellent flavour to this beautiful mildy sweet brown rice.

Carrot Lemonade
Sunday brunch is something i would like to have atleast once a month, i truly enjoy it coz my weekend working H will have his brunch with me. Obviously if he is at home, i'll make special brunch dishes for him. He loves french toasts very much with a simple home made fruit juice for his brunch. Needless to say i'll make different fruit juices freshly for the brunch. Today i have prepared this gorgeous looking carrot lemonade for our brunch hence am posting it today as i belong to a group of bloggers who blogs twice a month on sundays, our group name is Let's Brunch On Sundays.
Coming to this carrot lemonade, this super fresh drink goes for easy breezy ingredients, just a carrot, lemon juice and some grated ginger with sugar makes this beautiful drink. When served with ice cubes, you can enjoy this lemonade thoroughly during summer, yes this drink is definitely a summer drink , a fantastic healthy thirsty quencher.

Spinach Dal Paratha
Spinach is one of our family favourite greens and i have always a packet of frozen spinach in my freezer, so that i can make any dish out of it. While cleaning my freezer recently i crossed some frozen spinach leaves sitting sadly in my freezer, since they were less in quantity i tried my hands in making this interesting, healthy and nutritious paratha. Yes this paratha is highly nutritious coz i used moongdal in them. I finished a quarter cup of mushy moongdal which is prepared for making sambhar finally went on into this paratha along with those frozen spinach leaves.
Actually i didnt used spinach as puree, thats y my parathas are not looking green, while kneading i just added both the frozen spinach leaves and mushy moongdal together in the wheat flour to get a smooth dough. Personally i loved the softness of these parathas and we loved having this with an incredible salna i prepared with butterbeans.Check here for the butter beans salna, both tastes fabulous together and we had a superfilling dinner. Its 2nd sunday of the month and since i belong to a group of friends who blogs on sunday for the event Let's Brunch On Sundays am posting this fantastic soft parathas.

Chicken Ghee Roast/Ghee Chicken Roast
Chicken is one of the lean meat we love to have atleast once a week especially on Sundays. Sunday lunch is always special if hubby is at home. Coz he works two weekends alternatively and if he is at home, he love to have a feast especially on Sunday lunch. I'll prepare either biryani or else a gravy with chicken to serve mostly for our sunday lunch. While i googling i got hooked to this Mangalorean special chicken ghee roast at Charishma's space. Her pictures pulled me a lot and immediately i planned to make this juicy and highly flavourful chicken ghee roast for our sunday lunch. I simply served this chicken ghee roast with a simple sambhar bhath and we enjoyed our lunch thoroughly.
If you want to make a different chicken roast, you should give a try to this dish, am sure this chicken ghee roast will become your favourite. Its our family favourite now and even i passed this recipe to my French friend who loved spicy Indian foods. Seems she already prepared thus chicken ghee roast twice. Ghee plays an important role in this chicken roast, dont skip ghee also ghee is good for health. Frequent intake of ghee is not good but once a while you can take them without any guilt. However i tempered this roast with a cinnamon stick, which is completely optional. Its 4th sunday of the month and since i belong to a group of friends who blogs on sunday for the event Let's Brunch On Sundays am posting this fantastic chicken roast.

Sablé is a French shortbread biscuits, well known for their melt in mouth texture. This shortbread biscuits are quite famous all over France eventhough they origin is from Caen, a town from Normandy region.I had a chance to see how these shortbreads are baked during a trip to this town. Whenever you cross the industrial area where these shortbread companies are situated you will be definitely attracted by the smell of freshly baked sablés. Obviously i came back to Paris with enough boxes of these shortbread biscuits, my kids love this biscuits anytime and they love to munch with their bowl of hot chocolate for their breakfast, yes you can start your day with this buttery shortbreads.
The French word sable means sand, also this biscuit was created for the first time in a town called Sablé sur Sarthe few years ago, coz of the texture and the origin these biscuits are named as Sablé, however these biscuits are seriously very soft, delicate, buttery with a fantastic texture. Instant Wheat Dosa
Instant dosas or idlies are really handy and definitely saves us when we run out of the Idly batter. For this week's blogging marathon i chosed instant dosas or idlies as theme and the next two days are going to be healthy, quick and instant versions of dosas and idlies. Coming to today's recipe, its definitely a quick and very healthy dosas we prepare quite often simply with wheat flour and rice flour. This dosa makes a super filling dinner or breakfast if you serves them with a simple chutney or sambhar. Personally wheat dosas are my favourite, since am yet to post this instant dosas in my space, i prepared them few days back for my lunch and enjoyed with some tomato sambhar.
My H and kids dont like these kind instant dosas or idlies that much, but who cares i'll make them specially for me.Earlier i insisted them to take these healthy foods, but it never worked with them. Obviously if i want to feed them with wheat flour in dosas, i'll add some flour in the sour dosa batter and makes wheat uthappams with loads of onions. This way they will eat without any fuss. However when i chosed this theme for this week, i know am gonna have feast with my favourite instant idlies and dosas. Check out the Blogging Marathon page for the other Blogging Marathoners doing BM#34.

Actually while chosing the biscottis recipe, i couldnt able to get this fabulous Italian cookies with wholegrains, but finally i decided to bake this crunchy super chocolaty biscottis with rolled oats. Pulao or biryani, i dont mind eating them anytime of the day, yes i love it that much.
