Karachi Biscuits - Eggless Tutti Frutti Biscuits

Karachi biscuits, these biscuits are quite famous in Hyderabad that too from Karachi bakery at Hyderabad. This bakery is well known for its signature rich biscuits like this tutti frutti butter biscuits, osmania biscuits etc which just melt in your mouth. These biscuits are loaded with tutti frutti chunks and cashews, which makes this biscuits more delicious,fruity and nutty at the same time. These biscuits are divinely delicious and obviously very addictive that once you bake this biscuits you wont stop munching them yourself. This biscuits was in to do list since a long and one fine day i tried them at home,trust me they came out absolutely fabulous.Sending to Srivalli's Anniversary Mela.

As am busy with my personnal stuffs, am baking only during weekends and i baked these cuties few weeks back as my sweet tooth craved for something buttery and sweet. These biscuits came out extremely prefect and they just melted in our mouth, needless to say even my younger one enjoyed thoroughly these dangerously addictive eventhough tutti frutti arent his favourite. If you want to please anyone with some incredible biscuits, then you should give a try to this gorgeous nuts and tutti frutti loaded biscuits without any fail. As am running a month of blogging marathon, these karachi biscuits are going to be part of this event as we are posting dishes under baking as theme.

Karachi Biscuits

175 grs Butter (Unsalted, at room temperature)
3/4 cup Icing Sugar 
1+1/2cups All purpose flour
1/4tsp Baking powder 
1/4tsp Salt 
1tbsp Orange zest 
1/8cup Fresh orange juice 
1/2tsp Vanilla extract 
1/4cup Tutti fuiti 
1/2cup Cashew nuts (Broken)

Whisk flour, baking pwder, salt and orange zest together.Add tutti-frutti and cashew nuts to the dry ingredients and mix well, let them get fully coated with the flour. 

Beat the butter, icing sugar and beat it until it soft and creamy.Add vanilla essence, fresh orange juice and beat for a minute at medium speed 

Fold in the dry ingredients and mix till everything is well incorporated.

 Make sure not to over mix or beat until a soft and creamy dough will be formed.

Transfer the dough to a cling film and shape it in the form of a log and wrap it with the cling film 

Arrange it in fridge for 3 to 4 hours or in freezer for an hour.

Pre-heat the oven to 350F and line a baking tray with baking sheet.

Once the dough is firm, cut them into medium pieces and place them on the baking tray with enough space in between.

Bake in the pre-heated oven for 15-20 minutes, till the sides of the biscuits are lightly brown. 

Cool them on a wire rack and store it in an air-tight container.
