Instant Savoury Oats Paniyaram

I love anything as instant version, few days back i prepared this simple,easy and healthy paniyarams with whole wheat flour,rolled oats,cornmeal, buttermilk and tempered with spices and chopped onions, this instant paniyaram tastes marvellous also truly healthy to enjoy without any guilt...This savoury paniyaram goes awesome as lunch box menu and kids will definitely love this also these crispy paniyaram suits prefect for evening snacks..The crispy outer and soft inner makes this paniyaram truly fantastic and everyone at home loved it...Easy breezy paniyarams with healthy stuffs in it goes directly to JFI-Breakfast guest hosted by Suma of Veggie Platter, event by Indira , also goes to Sunday Snacks-Healthy Snacks guest hosted by Divya of Dil Se and finally to Divya's Show Me Your Wholegrains.....


1cup Whole wheat flour
1cup Rolled oats
1/4cup Cornmeal
1cup Buttermilk
1/2tsp Baking soda
1/2tsp Mustard seeds+Urad dal
1/2tsp Channa dal
1/2cup Onions(chopped)
Few curry leaves
Salt
Oil

Mix the whole wheat flour, rolled oats, cornmeal and baking soda with salt and buttermilk as thick batter..heat few drops of oil,fry the mustard seeds, urad dal, channa dal till they turns brown, add the chopped onions and curry leaves and saute until they turns transculent, add this tempered onions to the already prepared batter and mix everything well...

Heat the paniyaram pan,pour few drops of oil n pour a ladle of the batter, put the flame in simmer n cook slowly, turn on both sides until they get well cooked...dont cook in high flame...Enjoy with any sort of chutneys...

@A2z, its better to make out through appe pan, idli maker will definitely turn them hard...hope this helps

@Aparna, u can definitely skip the cornmeal part or else u can use sooji/rava instead of cornmeal, hope this helps..
