Baked Potato Slices

Usually most of us make spicy sliced potato fry for our lunch especially to serve along with lemon rice, i just love this sliced fried potatoes, i want to replicate the same but as a guilt free version. Hence i tried my hands with this less oil and absolutely crispy spicy baked potato slices. You can have this baked sliced potatoes either as a starter when served along with tomato ketchup or as side dish to serve along with dal rice or curd rice. You wont believe this potato slices will defnitely makes everyone happy, from a kid to an adult, anyone can simply have this baked version of our usual oldy goldy potato fry.

Am running with baked vegetables as theme for this second week of blogging marathon, after some interesting baked vegetables, my today's post for this theme is this Baked potato slices. With less efforts and less ingredients, this baked potato slices are definitely a big hit among kids. If you dont want to make them spicy, just spice them with your favourite herbs along with salt. Seriously am gonna make some herbed potato slices soon to enjoy this everyone's favourite vegetable without any guilt.Check out the Blogging Marathon page for the other Blogging Marathoners doing BM#59.

Baked Potato Slices

3nos Potatoes
2 Garlic cloves
1tsp Sambar powder/ Red chilly powder
1/2tsp Garam masala powder
1/2tsp Fennel seed powder
1/2tsp Oil
Salt
1tsp Rice flour

Preheat the oven to 350F. Line a baking sheet over a baking tray.

Slice the potatoes as per your need.

Crush the garlic and add it to the sliced potatoes. Add the sambar powder, garam masala powder, fennel seed powder, oil,salt, rice flour.

Mix everything well until the potato slices gets well coated.

Potato slices-Baked Version


Arrange one by one to the already prepared baking tray.

And bake for 30-35minutes until they gets well baked (dont forget to turn twice the potato slices in between)

Serve warm.
