Soya kheema cashew nut fritters or soya kheema cashew nut balls, these crispy outer and soft inside balls are dangerously addictive. These balls goes for easy ingredients and very simple to do. This vegetarian soya nuggets balls makes an excellent starter or appetizer when served along with sweet chilly sauce or simply with ketchup.This kola urundai aka crispy balls is a very interesting way to include soya nuggets in our diet.Usually i make these balls with vegetables but this time i opted for soya nuggets and cashew nuts. Both works awesome in these fritters, not to forget that you can serve this balls as side dish with one pot meal like pulao or biriyani.Sending to Kalyani's Monsoon Mojo Event..

Soya Kheema &Cashew Nut Balls

This vegetarian version of kola urundai tastes absolutely incredible when they are hot.You can serve very well this kola urundais for any occasions,these balls are definitely a crowd pleaser and quite an easy way to feed anyone with this nutritious soya meat.Once you finished frying these balls, just serve your kids and see how fast these crispy balls gets vanish. Am sure this kola urundai will become a family favourite definitely.This week's blogging marathon is going to be special theme and the theme is Moderator's choice, Valli listed out few ingredients and i picked cashew nuts as my special ingredient for this week's theme.

Minced Soya, cashew nut kola urundai

20nos Soya nuggets (cooked)
1tbsp Fennel seeds
1tsp Poppy seeds
2nos Garlic cloves
15nos Cashew nuts
3nos Green chillies
1tsp Ginger
1/2cup Roasted gram powder/pottukadalai powder
1no Onion (chopped finely)
Few mint leaves
Oil (for frying)
Salt

In the pan,heat few drops of oil and saute the chopped onions until the onions turns transculent.

Grind the poppy seeds,cashew nuts,garlic cloves, ginger,fennel seeds,green chillies as fine powder along with cooked soya granules.

Now take the sauteed onions, grounded spices,cashew and soya mixture, chopped mint leaves,roasted gram powder and salt in a bowl.

Mix everything well to form a dough.

Pinch out medium sized balls from it and keep aside.

Heat the oil for deepfrying.

Drop the rolled balls to the oil..

Fry in medium flame until they turns golden brown,drain the excess of oil with a paper towel.

Serve with ketchup.
