Pakistan is Islamic Republic country in South Asia. Its one of most populous country with Islamabad as capital. Pakistani cuisine is a blend of various regional cooking traditions of India, Central Asia. Pakistani cuisine is quite flavoursome rich cuisine with western part of the country is strongly influenced by Persian and Central Asian style while the eastern part is more similar to Northern Indian cooking. Located between Afghanistan, India and below China, Pakistan have a rich history with wonderful food and culture. The unique thing about Pakistani food is its changes from season to season. People of Pakistan are fond of eating specific types of foods depending upon the weather and season.Meat plays an important role in Pakistani Cuisine, the National dish is Chicken Biriyani. However lentils, meat, vegetables, flour and wheat products are abundantly used in this cuisine. Coming to my today's flatbread, its a flatbread which is quite common in Persion, Pakistani and Indian cuisine especially in Uttar Pradesh. Taftan Naan is a spongy flatbread which is prepared with simple ingredients available in our pantry.

Boondi Pak/Boondhi Pak/Sweet Boondi Squares

Boondi pak, sounds interesting rite. This sweet is quite different one from the usual Diwali sweets we make out traditionally. Actually to be honest, this boondi pak is quite a delicious sweet which sounds almost like both Mysore pak and Boondi laddoo. Yes its an excellent sweet to give a try if you dont have time or dont want to give a try to the usual Boondi laddoos. Am sure many of us have hardly tried laddoos with boondhi aka gram flour based deep fried pearls as this sweets are not that much easy to make if we dont know how to succeed the sugar syrup consistency. Trust me this Boondi pak doesnt need the sugar syrup consistency, yes you heard it rite. With tiny deep fried gram flour pearls aka boondis you can dish out this sweet boondi squares with less efforts than you can imagine.

Puri, Aloo Channa Bhaji, Halwa - Pakistani Traditional Breakfast

My today's recipe goes to Pakistani breakfast, if you are my follower you have already noticed that am running a  month of blogging marathon. As i told earlier, this week's theme is combo meals, hence i picked a traditional Pakistani breakfast, as this dish goes for three different dishes. This combo meal is a classic breakfast of Pakistan, obviously you cant eat puri without channa bhaaji and halwa to finish this breakfast prefectly.Pakistani cuisine is a refined blend of various regional cooking traditions of South Asia. Pakistani cuisine is very similar to North Indian cuisine, but incorporates noticeable Afghan, Central Asian, and Middle Eastern influences. The fusion Mughlai cuisine is the most popular cuisine found in most Pakistani restaurants.

A typical pakistani breakfast is called nashta, during holidays or weekends halwa, poori and cholay/Channa is a must and these three dishes are very much appreciated by the locals. Hence i picked this three dishes to serve virtually to you all.

Zafrani Sharbat

Seriously september went too fast for me, may be coz i was busy in cooking ,clicking and scheduling the posts for my long blogging marathon. Eventhough we planned this marathon before few months, somehow i have made many changes in my recipes, somehow am happy that i have accomplished this month's blogging marathon successfully. Thank god, i finished this whole month marathon without any difficulties.A month of blogging marathon with themes under Alphabets is definitely a fabulous experience to know more about many recipes which are not that much familiar for me,also learned many more new recipes from my fellow marathoners. All of us have done a fabulous job and love this BM group which is very close to my heart.

Honestly i'll be missing the last minute thrills and head breaking recipe's search under different alphabets.Trust me for the letter 'Z',i was between the International or Fusion, but i want to go under International cuisine for this week's theme, thats why i dont want to cook anything under Fusion dishes. My first choice for today's recipe was between a pulao and a drink. But finally i chosed this super refreshing drink, when i was searching a drink with saffron, i got this drink  from a Pakistani Tv show through google master. This refreshing chilled drink goes for saffron, milk, jellies prepared with agar agar, nuts and sabja seeds, quite an interesting drink rite. You can have this drink when the weather is too hot or as a welcome drink when you have relatives at home. With loads of nuts, this drink tastes simply awesome.
