Sheet cake is a cake usually baked in a large, flat rectangular baking pan as much as like jelly roll or swiss roll. This single layer cakes are always frosted with decorations along the borders and on the flat top. Sheet cakes can be made with any flavor, though the most usual and common sheet cakes are chocolate and vanilla flavored ones. You know you can make some stunning layered cakes from a sheet cake which can be split, filled with jam or icing or else simply frosted with whipped cream. Coming to my today's post, this caramel loaded sheet cake is quite an easy cake to bake whenever you crave for something sweet. Since sheet cakes are usually frosted, i couldnt stop myself to frost mine with a simple caramel sauce.
