empanadas my today's post goes for a meatless black bean balls. If you looking for an interesting meatless balls, am sure this black bean balls will definitely satisfy your crave. These vegetarian balls are full of proteins and definitely an excellent vegetarian substitute for traditional meatballs. Am sure vegetarians will enjoy thoroughly this black beans loaded vegan balls as they are simple and easy to dish out. Usually these meatless black bean balls are served along with spaghetti drizzled with some tomato sauce. Since none at home want to have this balls dunked in tomato sauce, i simply served them for their snacks with their favourite sauce.
You might have noticed that am running a month of blogging marathon with 5 ingredients for 5 weeks as theme under Cooking carnival. I have been blogging about dry beans, and i picked Dry black beans as this week's star ingredient. Black beans are terribly healthy and you can dish out many incredibles dishes out of this super nutritious beans. One of our recent favourite is this black bean 'meatless' balls, if you planning for a meatless meal dont forget to prepare this excellent meatless balls and serve it with an Indian style gravy or with a tomato sauce. Actually am planning to prepare our chettinad style gravy with these meatless balls to serve along with rice or rotis.Ok let me stop blabbering and post the recipe for this dangerously addictive meatless balls.
4cups Cooked Black beans
1no Onion (big & chopped finely)
3nos Garlic cloves (crushed)
1/2tsp Red chilly flakes
1cup All purpose flour
1tsp Cumin powder
1/2cup Rolled oats
Salt
Oil for pan frying
Grind the cooked black beans, chopped onions, crushed garlic cloves, red chilly flakes, rolled oats, cumin powder, all purpose flour, salt as thick paste.
Make a medium sized balls out of this spiced grounded black bean mixture. Arrange them in fridge for an hour.
Heat the oil for deep frying, once the oil is hot, drop the balls to the pan, fry until the balls turns golden brown.
Drain the excess of oil with paper towel.
Serve them hot with ketchup.
