Can you imagine watching a movie without munching popcorns, definitely its a hard task for me. I just love popcorns very much. Either its savoury or sweet, i never give up popcorns for any reason if we plan to watch a movie. Popcorn are easy to make and my today's post goes for baked salted caramel popcorn. Just pop up the corn kernels as usual, then these popped corns undergo a sugar bath,once baked these cuties makes an excellent munchies while watching a movie. This baked popcorns are very easy to make, dangerously addictive.This baked version tastes much more delicious than the usual store bought caramel popcorns i get usually from super markets.

If you make this salted caramel popcorn at home, you cant stop yourself munching this beauties. Definitely these popcorns are kid's friendly snacks, give a try to this crunchy popcorns, am sure you wont stop yourself making this popcorns quite often.
1cup Popcorn kernels
1/2cup Butter
1cup Brown sugar
1/3cup Corn syrup
1tsp Salt
1tsp Vanilla extract
1/4tsp Baking soda
Pre-heat the oven to 150 degree C.
Line up a baking tray with silicon mat or butter paper. Grease with butter.
Add the popcorn kernels in a pressure pan, close with the lid and remove the vent. Wait for few minutes until the kernels, pop inside the pan.
Stop the flame when the popping sound stops. Open the lid.
In a heavy bottomed saucepan, add butter, brown sugar and corn syrup and put it on high flame on stove top. Stir till the butter melts and everything comes together.
Bring down the flame to low and stop stirring. Let it be on the low flame undisturbed for 5 minutes on the clock.
Switch off the flame and add baking soda. It will bubble up, so carefully stir now with a wooden spatula.
Pour the caramel syrup into the popcorn all around, making sure it will coat all of them.
Use a wooden spatula to stir up coating every single popcorn.
Now add the caramel coated popcorn in your prepared baking tray.
Bake in the pre-heated oven for 20 minutes at 150 degree C. Remove from oven after every 5 minutes and use a wooden spoon to toss the popcorn completely and continue baking.
Remove from oven and let cool completely on wire rack.
Now break them using your hands.
Store them in airtight container.
