Drumstick Leaves and Potato Cutlet/Aloo Tikkis with Drumstick Leaves

Cutlets or tikkis can be an excellent evening snacks depending upon the way how they are prepared. Some fry their cutlets by deepfrying while other goes for shallow fry, but pan frying makes some excellent guilt free cutlets. I make varieties of cutlets to feed easily vegetables to my kids as this is a best way to sneak vegetables. Kids love cutlets very much even if they are loaded with veggies. Vegetable cutlets are can be enjoyed thoroughly for evening snacks with your cup of tea or coffee without any guilt. My today's post goes for the healthy vitamin rich Drumstick leaves. Drumstick leaves are well known for their health values. We South Indians makes varieties of foods with this incredible Iron rich greens.I get this greens easily from Indian grocery very much fresh and i dont forget to grab a bag of these greens without any fail whenever i go to our usual Indian store. Indian greens are very much rare here but Thank god, these drumstick leaves are easily available now.

Couple of days before,while planning our evening snacks, i couldnt resist myself to add some fresh drumstick leaves to the usual potato cutlets aka aloo tikkis. For my surprise, this combination works absolutely incredible and kids loved this greens loaded potato cutlets very much with their favourite sauce. The addition of the drumstick leaves makes this tikkis very much interesting and healthy as well. This cutlets goes to this week's blogging marathon as i picked Healthy tea time snacks as theme for this week. Since i have added greens and pan roasted these cutlets am adding this cutlets to one among the healthy evening snacks i have tried and tasted at home.Check out the Blogging Marathon page for the other Blogging Marathoners doing BM#45. 


4nos Potatoes (pressure cooked)
1/2cup Fresh drumstick leaves
1/2tsp Garam masala powder
1/4tsp Cumin powder
2nos Green chillies(chopped)
Salt
1tbsp Corn flour
Oil for shallow frying

Mash the cooked potatoes.

Add in the fresh drumstick leaves, garam masala powder, chopped green chillies, cumin powder, corn flour, salt and mix well.

Make small sized tikkis from the mixture.

Heat enough oil in a pan, pan fry the tikkis until they turns golden brown.

If you dont like adding fresh drumstick leaves, just saute them before adding to the mixture.

Enjoy with ketchup for evening snacks with your favourite drink.

Aloo tikkis with greens, drumstick leaves aloo cutlets

Galettes de pomme de terre avec les feuilles de moringa:
4 Pommes de terre ( cuites  )
1/2tasse Feuilles de moringa (frais)
1/2c à café Poudre de garam masala
1/4tsp Poudre de cumin
2 Piments verts ( haché )
sel
1 cuillère à soupe de farine de maïs
Huile pour la friture

Écraser les pommes de terre cuites .

Ajouter les feuilles de moringa frais , poudre de garam masala , piments verts hachés , poudre de cumin , farine de maïs , le sel et bien mélanger .

Faire des galettes de ce mélange .

Chauffer assez d'huile dans une poêle , faire revenir les galettes jusqu'à ce qu'elles brunissent.

Si vous n'aimez pas les feuilles de moringa frais , faire sauter avant de les ajouter au mélange .

A servir avec du ketchup.
