Shrikhand is an Indian sweet dish made of strained yogurt. It is one of the main desserts in Gujarati cuisine and Maharashtrian cuisine. The yogurt is tied and hung until all the water has drained off, the result being a thick and creamy yogurt. Dried and fresh fruit such as mango are also added. Other ingredients include sugar, cardamom powder, and saffron. Shrikhand is popular in western India. Thought of making them a bit different i flavoured them with mango essence n mixed with nutella chocolate spread..its tastes awesome..kids will love it..
1cup Yogurt
2tsp Powdered Sugar
1tsp Mango Essence
2tsp Nutella chocolate spread
1tsp Almond flakes
Take a muslin cloth r a strainer n pour the yogurt n keep aside in fridge, after 6 hrs u will get a thick creamy yogurt..mix powdered sugar, mango essence, nutella chocolate spread n mix everything well..
Garnish with Almond flakes..
Serve them with Chappathis, pooris.. an excellent side dish.
