2tsp Ghee
1pinch Food colour
1/2cup Water

Take a heavy bottomed kadai r pan..pour the condensed milk..keep the flame in simmer..meanwhile wash the can n use it to measure the dessicated coconut flakes, add half cup of water with the condensed milk n heat it..once they start boil, add 2 cups of dessicated coconut flakes(leave the half cup dessicated coconut flakes for rolling the laddus), cardamom powder n stir them well..

Add a tsp of water to the food colour n add it to the coconut mix..add the ghee n stir for a while..they will turn as a dough n get off from the bottom of the pan..put off the stove..
Take a small quantity of the dough n make them as small balls, roll them with the rest of the dessicated coconut..store them in a air tightened box..can keep them in room temperature for 2 to 3 days...

  3. @ Reddy, since the coconut used in this recipe goes for dessicated coconut, there is no need to fry them, also dessicated coconut tends to burn if u roast them..hope this helps..

  7. Hi Priya,
Thanks for posting this lovely coconut laddoo recipe.

I tried it yesterday and it came out real yummy!

    Some points:
The laddoos came out nice and round, but were soft to the touch and eat - is that ok?

Or should they be hard like Besan laddoo or Rava laddoo?

    - I used Amul Mithai mate (I think this is less condensed than Nestlé) with half the tin and other ingredients proportionately.

Do you think that made a difference to the "softness"?

    thanks,
    Hasita

  8. Thanks for trying Hasita, these laddoos wont get hard like besan or rava laddoos,,they will always a soft inner even after many days, but they wont be soft while touching, this is may be coz of the condensed milk you used for, may be this make the difference.Hope i cleared your doubt.
