Paneer Chocolate Burfi/Chocolate Kalakand

Diwali means loads of savouries and sweets, i cant imagine celebrating this popular Festival of lights without some sweets. Obviously i will look for easy sweets which need less time to whisk and enjoy. Burfi is one of quickest sweet we make with less efforts, i have already prepared varieties of burfis though my today's post is also one among a recent trial prepared with homemade paneer and dark chocolate powder.  This burfi tastes extremely delicious and stays absolutely prefect for a week if conserved properly in fridge. Paneer plays an important role in this fantastic sweet and this burfi takes hardly less than 15minutes to get ready.

Paneer chocolate Burfi, Chocolate Kalakand

This burfi makes a prefect Diwali sweet and my kids enjoyed thoroughly this burfi as this burfi is prepared with their favourite ingredient aka chocolate. I was challenged by Janani Krishnakumar with two secret ingredients for this month's Shhhh cooking secretly event. She gave Paneer and dark chocolate powder as my ingredients and the theme for this month is Diwali treats, obviously i opted for this alluring burfi; If you want a super rich and delicious burfi, dont forget to have a look for this incredible burfi.

Choco Paneer Burfi

2cups Paneer
250ml Milkmaid/sweetened condensed milk
2tbsp Dark cocao powder
2tbsp Milk powder
1/2tsp Cardamom powder
1/4cup Chopped cashew nuts
1tbsp Ghee

Grind the paneer, sweetened condensed milk until a smooth mixture.

Transfer the mixture to a non stick pan, add the dark cocao powder,ghee, milk powder, cardamom powder and half of the chopped cashewnuts.

Heat the mixture in medium flame until the mixture turns thick.

Transfer the mixture to a greased square pan, sprinkle the remaining chopped cashew nuts on the top. Give a press.

Let it cool completely. Slice the burfi as small squares.

Conserve in an air tightened box.

  9. I love chocolate fudge and I can imagine this burfi shall taste quite similar, only better with fusion of Eastern flavours like ghee and cardamom. Yum!
