Actually the original recipe went for paprika with fresh parsley herbs along with usual spices and butter, but my version went for Olive oil, dried thymn leaves and Kashmiri red chilly powder. This scored potatoes are seriously very easy to prepare, make a spice paste mixed with olive oil or butter, brush the scored potatoes and baked it, how easy na. This spiced scored potatoes makes an excellent side dish for a simple pulao, yes we enjoyed thoroughly this baked scored potatoes as side dish rather than having it as a meal with salad or grilled meat. If you want to make this incredible baked potatoes, dont forget to mix and match the herbs and spices according to your tastebuds. Check out the Blogging Marathon page for the other Blogging Marathoners doing BM#61.

  5. Fan the potatoes slightly means just make the cut visible by pulling the sliced potatoes, when you slice the potatoes, usually you can see the slices gets together, so if you pull the cuts, while cooking they will be visible and get cooks easily. Hope this helps.
