Watermelon Granita

Granitas are ice desserts similar to sorbet but with a grainier texture, they are quite easy to make at home and you doesnt need icecream makers or any special equipment..I bought a watermelon from my farmer's market two days back, but unfortunately they werent sweet..None wanted to have them  as anything not even as a salad, finally i prepared them as granita which turned out simply superb, this granita was quite refreshing, prefect to enjoy without any guilt when its hot..Needless to say this granita gets ready very quickly also get vanished in less minutes, we enjoyed having this wonderful looking granita for our dessert after lunch..Definitely a refreshing granita to enjoy without any hesitation to beat the heat...Sending to Kid's Delight - Cool Comforts guest hosted by PJ,event by Srivalli..

Watermelon Granita

6cups Watermelon cubes
1cup Sugar
1/2cup Water
2tbsp Lemon juice

Make a syrup by adding sugar and water, stir the syrup until the sugar get dissolved and the syrup become clear, cool and keep aside...

Blend the watermelon cubes, sugar syrup, lemon juice until smooth, strain the juice...pour the juice in a shallow container and freeze for 3 hours, scrape the mixture with a fork until its turns fluffy, freeze again, scrape again the granita before serving.
