Baked Oats Crusted Tofu Steaks

Wat a fabulous looking steaks na!! that too vegan steaks..I prepared this delicious,crispy,healthy vegan tofu steaks for our lunch and served along with salads, this steaks goes for a simple thick batter prepared with chickpeas flour, garam masala powder, red chilly powder, dry basil leaves and pepper powder,finally the sliced tofu dipped in this thick batter are immediately rolled over the oats.. These steaks are baked for 20-25minutes in oven at 350F, needless to say that these crispy steaks goes fabulous even as a starter for a party menu or as a healthy snacks served along with ketchup..Easy breezy steaks goes directly to Sunshinemom's Annual World Vegan Day..

Baked Oats crusted Tofu

15nos Extra firm tofu slices
2tbsp Chickpeas flour
1/4tsp Red chilly powder
1/4tsp Dry basil leaves or dry mint leaves
1/4tsp Pepper powder
1/2tsp Garam masala powder
Salt
Oil (for brushing)
1/2cup Rolled oats

Make a thick batter with chickpeas flour, red chilly powder, dry basil leaves, pepper powder, garam masala powder, salt and water...Preheat the oven to 350F..dip the tofu slices in this batter and roll them over the oats..arrange them over a greased baking sheet,brush gently the steaks with oil..Bake this oats crusted tofu slices for 20-25minutes until the crust gets crispy..

Enjoy with ketchup or any hot sauces..
