Spring Onion n Mushroom Gravy

Spring onion r also known as Scallion, green onion or salad onion..they tend to be milder than onions, these onions r often used in soups, noodles, seafood dishes n also in some sauces..i used them to prepare in place of onions coz a bunch of these onions were laying in my fridge, instead of using onions r shallots, i prepared this gravy with these green onions n mushroom, an excellent side dish for any sort of breakfast dish n also perfect for hot rice served with papads r with boiled eggs..

2cups Button mushrooms(chopped)
20 stalks Green onions(chopped)
1/4tsp Turmeric powder
1tsp Garam masala powder
1tsp Coriander leaves(chopped)
1tsp cumin seeds
Salt
Oil
To grind:
1Tomato
1tsp Peppercorns
1tsp Cumin seeds
3nos Red chillies
1tsp Fennel seeds
1/4cup Grated coconut
2tsp Coriander seeds
3tsp Poppy seeds

Heat oil in a kadai, add the cumin seeds n let them splutters.. add the chopped green onions n stir them for a while, add the chopped mushrooms n stir continously with turmeric powder n salt..meanwhile grind every ingredients from the list TO GRIND with enough water to fine paste...add the garam masala to the mushrooms n stir it..

Now add the grounded paste to the mushrooms, adjust ur gravy now..cook them until the oil get separates from the gravy..add the coriander leaves to the gravy..put off the stove..
