Savoury bread pudding, a prefect meal to kick start a day with less efforts. Mostly bread pudding are prepared as sweet version for desserts, but still savory bread pudding do exists. Yes savoury bread puddings can be eaten very much from a breakfast, lunch to dinner. And its completely a comforting dish as this savory pudding is loaded with cheese and mixed vegetables. If you want to give a second life to your stale breads sitting in your bread loaf bag, then dont forget to check this ultimate savory pudding.
Just sauté the vegetables and put all the ingredients together and bake the pudding until the crust turns brown. How easy na, and the baking takes just 15-20minutes. With less efforts, you can devour this super cheesy and vegetable loaded bread pudding either for your breakfast or for your brunch. My kids enjoyed this savory bread pudding however their favourite is always the chocolate loaded bread pudding. 5-6 Bread slices (cubed)
2cups Mixed vegetables (chopped)
1/2cup Onion (chopped)
2 Eggs
1/2cup Heavy cream
2cups Milk
1cup Grated cheese
1tsp Olive oil
Salt
Pepper powder
Heat the olive oil, sauté the onions until they turns transculent, add the vegetables and saute for few seconds, put off the stove.
Now drop the cubed bread slices to a baking pan, top it with the sauteed vegetables, meanwhile whisk the eggs, milk, cream, grated cheese ,samt and pepper powder in a bowl.
Preheat the over to 400F.
Pour this wet ingredients to the bread-vegetables mixture, bake for 15-20minutes.
Serve warm.
