Nutella Filled Donuts

My kids are crazy fan of both Nutella and Donuts, they just love the store bought nutella filled donuts. Obviously they wont forget to grab a big bag of donuts from stores whenever they see them in stores. My younger one was requesting me since a long to make those nutelle donuts at home, i kept it in my to do list and finally i prepared these donuts at home few days back. Kids went crazy when i served this ultimate donuts for their snacks. Donuts are also well known street foods in many countries, though their name and shape may varies.

Nutella Filled Donuts, Nutella Donuts

Doughnuts are usually deep fried from a flour dough, and typically either ring-shaped or a number of shapes without a hole. Often filled, donuts can also be prepared as ball-shaped which is called as donut holes. Other types of batters can also be used, and various toppings and flavorings are used for different types, such as sugar, chocolate, or maple glazing etc. Am running this week's blogging marathon with 'Make street foods at home' as theme, obviously donuts is quite a popular streetfood hence am posting this ultimate Nutella donuts for this week's theme.

Nutella Donuts

5cups All purpose flour
1tbsp Instant yeast
2cups Luke warm milk
1/2cup Sugar
1tsp Salt
1/4cup Butter (melted)
1 Egg
1/4cup Powdered sugar
1/2cup Nutella

Take the all purpose flour, yeast in a bowl, add the milk, melted butter, sugar, salt, egg and mix everything together.

Knead the dough well until it turns smooth and slightly sticky.

Place the dough into a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise for 2 hours.

Lightly flour your working surface and knead the dough for few minutes. Punch the dough and roll the dough 1/2-inch thick with a floured rolling pin.

Cut dough using a round cookie cutter or else with a round glass.

Cover the donuts and let them sit to rise atleast for an hour.

Heat enough oil for frying, and fry the donuts both sides until they turns golden brown.

Sprinkle some powdered sugar on top of the donuts or drop them in powdered sugar.

Meanwhile fill a piping bag with nutella.

Using a skewer or a sharp knife, make a hole on the side of the donut and then fill it with Nutella.
