Though am keeping myself away from deep frying, sometime the weather or else the craving for deep fries will definitely pull you to dish some fritters atleast once a while in a month.We, blogging marathoners are running a month of blogging with Protein rich dishes as theme, obviously you might have noticed that i have been posting some delicious protein rich recipes. Actually this interesting theme is pulling us to hunt for some healthy proteinaceous foods or else to come up with unique protein friendly foods. My today's recipe is completely an interesting snack food which i prepared with some extra firm tofu, along with chopped spinach, onions and sliced potatoes. When mixed with gramflour and rice flour, trust me you will get some dangerously addictive pakoras which suits prefect to munch with a cup of masala tea or coffee. None will notice the addition of chopped extra firm tofu and trust me you can feed easily tofu to your family members by this way.
This super crispy pakoras is a prefect snack though you can still serve them as side dish with your favourite meal. However silken tofu also works awesome for preparing this extremely delicious protein rich fritters. Kids will enjoy thoroughly munching this crispy beauties with their favourite sauce. You can also add any other vegetables to this pakoda and seriously this pakoda is one of the delicious deep fried snacks you can make anytime of the day if you have some tofu at home. Give a try to this fantastic pakodas if you are craving something crispy for your snacks.
2cups Extra firm Tofu (cubed as small pieces)
1/2cup Spinach (chopped)
1no Onion (sliced)
1no Potato (sliced)
1/4tsp Baking soda
1+1/2cups Gram flour
1tsp Ginger(grated)
1/2cup Rice flour
2nos Green chillies (chopped)
1/2tsp Fennel seeds
Chopped coriander leaves
Curry leaves
Salt
Oil for deep frying
Take the tofu,sliced onions,sliced potatoes, chopped spinach,gram flour,baking soda, rice flour,grated ginger, chopped green chillies, fennel seeds,curry leaves,salt and chopped coriander leaves in a bowl.
Mix everything well,sprinkle some water and turn everything as a thick paste.
Heat oil for deep frying.
Take a handful of mixture and drop gently to the hot oil as pakoras, fry until they turns crispy and golden brown.
Drain the excess of oil with a paper towel.
Enjoy hot with a cup of coffee..

Pakoras are welcome anytime and these with spinach and tofu sound absolutely fantastic . Since we have all Healthy ingredients let's not worry about the high calories :))
