This week is going to be Cajun cuisine and this style of cooking is from Louisiana, United States. This cuisine is deported by the British from Acadia in Canada to Acadiana region of Louisiana. This cuisine is a rustic one and most of the dishes from this cuisine is prepared with locally available ingredients with simple preparation. Actually this cuisine uses many method which is quite known in French cuisine with a touch of Creole cuisine. Herbs like parsley, bay leaf, greens onions are used often in this cuisine.Rice is a staple food of this cuisine though wheat is used in baking bread.
I always want to make cajun flavoured dishes since ages and finally got a chance to dish out three incredible dishes for this week's theme. I picked Regional cuisine as theme and Valli suggested to pick regional cuisine either from Indian cuisine or else from American cuisine. Obviously i couldnt resist to prepare myself some cajun oven fries with two more delicious dishes. Stay tuned to see what i have dished out of this incredible regional cuisine of United States of America. Coming to this Cajun oven fries, this baked potato wedges are very easy to make and seriously we loved the flavors went in it. Trust me this oven fries are dangerously addictive and you doesnt even need any sauce to enjoy as well.
