The original recipe went for shortbread cookies dough and i simply went with sugar cookie dough which goes for quick and easy breezy preparation. Sugar cookie dough makes excellent super buttery cookies, you can munch it anytime. You can decorate them easily with a simple icing or as plain to enjoy with your favourite drink. Sugar cookies are my kid's favourite, and hence i opted for this beautiful owl cookies. Hope you all liked this halloween special owl cookies, even if you dont have anything in your mind to bake for some halloween treats just bake these cookies, am sure kids will go crazy if they saw this buttery cookies.

Preheat the oven to 350F.

Now dust and roll the dough as a slightly thin disc and cut the dough with a round cookie cutter.

Transfer the cookie to the already prepared baking tray.

Punch two small pieces of a dough, roll it and press it to make eyes,  Next, press a chocolate chip into each ball, to create owl eyes.

Take the almonds, pointed-end down, and wedge in between the eyes, to make the beak.

To create the owl wings, press the curved edge of a spoon on each side, use a fork to make feathers.

Be careful not to press the spoon or the fork strongly else the cookie will get break.

Bake the cookies for about 20-25minutes.
