Caramel Kulfi

Kulfi, this Indian frozen dessert is well known for its particular shape, they goes for a specific moulds which is quite easily available in India. If you live in abroad and you have completely forgotten to get your kulfi moulds, i have an easy breezy substitution for those popular moulds. Just get a popsicles mould from your nearby supermarket and make your favourite frozen dessert with those simple moulds. Eventhough i have kulfi moulds at home, i like to make kulfis in popsicle mould as they are quite easy for the kids to carry and enjoy thoroughly without much efforts. My today's recipe goes for a different kulfi, actually i want to name it as Fusion kulfi, as this kulfi goes for caramel sauce. I used homemade caramel sauce, which can be made easily with sugar and butter. But still if you dont know or dont want to make your homemade sauce just stick with the store bought ones.

Apart from the caramel sauce, this kulfi goes for the usual preparation and i simply replaced the usual nuts with chocolate chips, if you want you can add some chopped nuts too. This kulfi makes an excellent chilled dessert after a lunch or else as a summer treat to enjoy while its hot outside. Dont go behind your kulfi moulds now, get your popsicles moulds and prepare your kulfis, how easy na. After an easy breezy microwave mug cake, this alluring caramel kulfi is going to be a part of this week's blogging marathon as am running with cooking substitutions as this week's theme.Check out the Blogging Marathon page for the other Blogging Marathoners doing BM#52.

1/2cup Caramel sauce
1/2cup Milk
1/2cup Sweetened condensed milk
1cup Heavy Cream
Few chocolate chips

Bring boil the milk and add in the caramel sauce.

Add the condensed milk  to the caramel sauce flavoured milk and keep aside, let it cool.

Meanwhile beat the heavy cream until it forms soft peaks.

Gently add the already prepared mixture to the cream and whisk slowly until everything gets well mixed.

Drop few chocolate chips to the moulds.

Divide this mixture, pour in popsicle moulds as per need and let them sit in freezer for overnite.

While serving, run the hot water over mould, remove the kulfi.

Enjoy.
