Baking became a part of my life and i do bake quite often. You may wonder why am talking very much about baking, i have a reason for it. This April month is going to be a whole month of blogging marathon and the theme for this month's blogging marathon is simply 'Baking aka Baked Goodies', Valli was kind enough to announce this whole month of blogging marathon without any theme and we are free to bake anything from bread to cookies or cakes to savoury baked goodies. Obviously i couldnt resist to bake few interesting breads and i'll be posting 26 varieties of bakes during this whole month. Stay tuned and enjoy all my bakes virtually.
Am kick starting my first day of this month's long blogging marathon with this interesting pull apart crescent rolls. I bake quite often my dinner rolls at home as they are quick to make and very simple to prepare as well. Since i dont want to make the usual savoury ones, this time i tried my hands in making this sweet version. Yes this pull apart crescent rolls are simply stuffed with chocolate chunks and this crescent rolls makes an excellent evening snack to enjoy thoroughly with your favourite drink or juice. Give a try to this crescent rolls and enjoy them.
3cups All purpose flour
1tbsp Active dry yeast
1/4cup Sugar+1tbsp Sugar (for yeast)
1/4cup Softened butter
2nos Egg yolks
1/2tsp Salt
1/2cup Warm Milk
Milk (for brushing)
In a bowl, dissolve the yeast with warm milk,sugar and let it stand for 5minutes until the yeast turns foamy.
Now take the butter,sugar,egg yolks in a bowl and beat it, add in the flour and foamy yeast and knead as a stiff dough.
Dust the dough and knead for 8-10minutes until the dough turns soft and elastic.Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover it.
Let it rise in a warm place until the dough gets doubled about 2 hours.
Punch down and divide the dough as one large ball and a small sized ball .Roll large dough balls as circle, cut each circle into 9 sized wedges.
Now roll the small dough ball as an another circle and cut 3 wedges.
Place a chocolate chunks over each wedges, roll up the wedges from the wide end towards the center and arrange them over the baking sheets lined over a round baking tray.
Cover it again and let it rise in a warm place for half an hour.
Preheat the oven to 350F, brush them with milk.
Bake for 25-30minutes or until the crust turns golden brown.
Let it cool and enjoy.

I love pull apart breads since they are so easy to serve! This one for sure would be everyone's favorite. Looking forward to your rest of the bakes :)
