Sundal, this beans/legumes sauteed evening snacks filled with proteins is our family favourite. I do varieties of sundal with vegetables or simply go for a tempered ones. This time i tried this green peas masala sundal with dried green peas, which i usually soak overnite. Dried green peas tastes fabulous in sundal than the fresh green peas or than the frozen ones. Personally i love to make curries with dried and soaked green peascoz they will be always in pantry than the fresh and frozen one. Soaked peas, later frozened are more handy and they are available at any moment of the day to dish out of them. I'll never forget to get a packet of dried green peas from Indian groceries, coming to today's post this masala sundal goes for both grated mango and coconut.
This sundal sounds almost like the beach sundal we usually make at home with yellow peas, but this one is with green peas with slight changes. Sundal is one of the healthiest, nutritious snacks even Doctors in India advice the aged peoples to take atleast often in their menus.Grated mangoes and coconuts gives an excellent taste to this simple but still a delicious sundal. Next time, if you have some dried green peas, do try this healthy snack and enjoy. My theme of this week's blogging marathon is Pick an ingredient, and i picked green peas from the list given by Srivalli. Yesterday's post was addictive crispy balls with tinned green peas and carrots and today am sharing this interesting, healthy snacks with dried green peas, obviously this post goes for this third week of blogging marathon.Sending this post to Ahlan Ramadan-The Healthy Way..
