1)Thengero kanji from Mariyam Siddiqua
This is a drink served during iftar in ramzan. this is very good for health.
1 fistful rice (any white rice)
1/2 fistful moong dal
1/4 cup coconut grated
1 tbsp coriander seed
1 tsp methi seed
To a pressure cooker add rice, dal, methi seed, salt and enough water and pressure cook for 3 to 4 whistles or till mushy. Grind coconut, corinader seeds with little water to a smooth paste and add this to above .Add salt and adjust the consistency to porridge and boil for few mins and serve hot. It can be eaten as it is or can add little chopped dates.
