I have completely quit eating idlis,dosas for my breakfast since many years,yep i totally replaced them with cereals or simply bread and jam..Sometimes if i feel like lazy, i'll even skip my cereals or bread with jam and make some smoothies to kick start the day, these sort of breakfast smoothies keeps me active,filling and definitely nourishing...Yesterday, i had some smoothie with strawberries, oats,quinoa flakes with seeds and nuts like flax,pumpkin seeds,almonds and cashew nuts..This smoothie turned out super delicious, simply irresistible also healthy with many beautiful and healthy stuffs in it...Definitely a healthy smoothie to enjoy for breakfast and i loved it..Do try friends, am damn sure you guys will definitely love this..
2cups Strawberries
2cup Greek yogurt
Honey or agave syrup
1tbsp Pumpkin seeds
1tsp Flax seeds
2tbsp Oats
1tbsp Quinoa flakes
5nos Almonds
5nos Cashewnuts
Water
Water
Cook the oats,quinoa flakes with enough water for 2-3minutes in microwave oven in high powder,keep aside and let them cool..Now take the strawberries,pumpkin seeds,flax seeds,almonds & cashewnuts with enough honey and a cup of greek yogurt in a blender, blend them well until they turns as thick paste, add the cooked quinoa flakes and oats to the grounded paste with remaining yogurt, blend again well..
Serve this thick smoothie immediately or with ice cubes for a hot summer breakfast..

ReplyDeleteI have to agree, it has been ages since I had indian breakfast in the morning. Usually, I try to have it at least on the weekends, but as my kiddos always want cereal or waffle/pancakes, even then it is rare.
