We can talk about the health benefits of making foods with whole grains for a full day, they are terribly healthy for our health...U can cook up anything with these wonderful wholegrains from breakfast to dinner, making dishes with wholegrains wasnt that much hard, just add these whole ingredients atleast once in ur daily menu and u will definitely the difference regarding ur health..Am hosting this month's Sanjeeta's Wholesome wholegrain cooking event, she was kind enough for letting me hosting this wonderful event..Coming to choice of whole grains, i choosed barley for breakfast..Most of my blogger buddies know that i love oats as any form, after making loads of dishes with oats, my next favourite wholegrain goes to quinoa and barley, i wanted to introduce this both grains in my cooking atleast once in a week...
Barley is a cereal grain derived from the annual grass Hordeum vulgare. It serves as a major animal fodder, as a base malt for beer and certain distilled beverages, and as a component of various health foods. It is used in soups and stews, and as bread in various cultures.Barley contains eight essential amino acids.According to a recent study, eating whole grain barley can regulate blood sugar that means reduce blood glucose response to a meal for up to 10 hours after consumption compared to white or even whole-grain wheat..So cook up using any dishes with barley as main ingredients for breakfast...
