Cauliflower pakodas are one of my favourite dishes, i never say no to cauliflower fries eventhough i prepare them quite rarely now, it can be a side dish for a meal or a super snack with green chutney..This is one of my mom's signature dish, most of us know that pakodas are deep fried snacks and this is eaten across all over India, its a type of finger food and this cauliflower pakodas can also called as cauliflower bhajji as i did a similar batter which i usually go for bhajjis eventhough this batter have less gram flour when compared to rice flour..Yeah these pakoras will be super crispy, a prefect appetizier for a party menu or for a simple family get together..
3cups Cauliflower florets
1/2cup Gram flour
1cup Rice flour
1/2tsp Cumin powder
1/2tsp Fennel seed powder
1tbsp Chilly powder
1tsp Baking powder
1/2tsp Turmeric powder
Salt
Oil
Cook the cauliflower florets until they turns bit tender with turmeric powder and enough water, strain the water and keep aside, make a thick batter with both flour, cumin powder, fennel seed powder, chilly powder, baking powder and salt ..
Heat oil for deep frying, drop few already slightly cooked cauliflower florets to the prepared batter..mix the florets with the batter until they get coated, then gently sprinkle them to the hot oil..fry them until they turns golden brown, repeat the process with the remaining cauliflower florets, drain the excess of oil with a paper towel..
Enjoy warm..
