Blogsphere teach us so many new dishes and can learn so many new ingredients through many of our fellow bloggers, i learned and started cooking tofus, whole grain pastry flour for bakes, eggless bakes, vegan bakes, cooking brown rice instead of white rice, i can say many things like this...my recent trial is bakes with whole grain brown rice flour..When Madhuram announced this month's whole baking event with rice flour, i thought that i can find easily in organic shops the whole brown rice flour but after going through few shops its was really hard to find out the brown rice flour , while searching that particular whole grain brown rice flour either they says they wont get the stock before a week or no stock for this entier week or else they dont get whole grain rice flour immediately as people doesnt purchase them often, i was disappointed and thought that i wont able to participate this month baking event..
When we went to my SIL's place i saw an organic shop, without any idea i went to that shop and immediately i asked the salesgal whether they have a packet of whole grain brown rice and rice flour, she showed me the packet , needless to say how i was happy to see the whole grain brown rice flour...I purchased two packets of 1kg and came back home happily...Thanks to Madhuram for choosing these sort of whole grains which pulled me to go through many organic shops and really enjoyed walking through the aisles and learned many new ingredients which i never ever heard before...Back home i prepared this sesame and chocolate biscuits as eggless and the crunchy biscuits vanished within few minutes once they came out the oven..We enjoyed this delicious biscuits with nutty sesame seeds..
1cup Brown rice flour
1+1/2cups All purpose flour
1/2cup Confectioner's Sugar
1/2cup Butter (room temperature)
2tbsp Dark chocolate powder
1tsp Baking powder
2tbsp Sesame seeds
Beat the butter and sugar until they turns soft and creamy, meanwhile preheat the oven to 350F and line a baking sheet over a baking tray...mix the flours, chocolate powder, sesame seeds and baking powder together and gradually to the butter-sugar mixture until they turns a soft and stiff dough...roll the dough with rolling pin and cut as biscuits with cookie cutter..
Arrange the unbaked biscuits over the lined baking sheet and bake for 20minutes until the biscuits turns golden brown...Conserve them in air tightened box and enjoy these biscuits...
