Its quiet long, i have nt baked savoury cookies at home, as i was craving for some savoury snacks i baked some fabulous cookies with sesame and oatflour, which i prepared by grinding quick cooking oats.. healthy and prefect evening snacks, my lil ones loved this cookies with cheese spread served with a glass of orange juice, a complete evening snack...This is completely a delicious combination of cookies with an awesome flavour by sesame seeds..here i used black sesame seeds to give a beautiful appearance to my cookies where u can either go for cumin seeds, white sesame seeds and y not coarsely grounded pepper corns, u can add any spice as u like..Anyhow i prefer sesame seeds in this cookies, this cookies is very much healthy as my other ingredients went for whole wheat pastry flour, olive oil etc...Needless to say that these cookies are guilt free & healthier which suits incredibly as evening snacks and largely healthy cookies when compared with the storebought savoury cookies...
1cup Quick cooking oats
1/2cup Whole wheat pastry flour
2tbsp All purpose flour
1tbsp Sesame seeds
1/2tsp Baking soda
1/2tsp Baking powder
2tbsp Olive oil
Water
Salt
Grind the quick cooking oats as fine powder..take the grounded oats flour, whole wheat pastry flour, all purpose flour, baking soda, sesame seeds, salt and baking powder in a bowl..add gradually the olive oil and water and knead everything as soft dough..Let this dough sit for half an hour..Preheat the oven to 350F..
Line a baking tray with baking sheet...Roll the dough with rolling pin as a large disc, cut the dough as cookies with cookie cutter, roll again as disc and cut the dough as cookies.. arrange the uncooked cookies over the baking sheet, leave some space between each cookies and bake for 15-20minutes until the cookies turns golden brown..put off the oven..keep aside and let them..
Arrange in an air tight box and enjoy with any spread or simply munch these healthy cookies for snacks..
Eggless, healthy, savor cookies.. What more to ask for.
