Paneer Jalfrezi

Paneer, the fabulous Indian Cottage Cheese...Paneer jalfrezi can also been defined as Kadai Paneer coz of cooking paneer cubes with enough quantity of tomatoes... this paneer jalfrezi was prepared with paneer, green bell pepper in thick spicy tomato gravy... Really this cheesy, spicy n yummy paneer jalfrezi goes well with chappathis n parathas...

1cup Paneer cubes
1/2cup Green bell pepper (capsicum)
1no Onion (diced)
2nos Tomatoes(big)chopped
1tsp Ginger(crushed)
5nos Garlic pods (crushed)
1/4tsp Cumin seeds
1no Green chilly
1/2tsp Red chilly powder
1tsp Coriander powder
1/2tsp Garam masala powder
2tsp Coriander leaves chopped
Salt
Oil

Heat a 2cups of water n add the cubed paneer, they will help them to turn tender...drain them after a few minutes n keep aside ...now heat oil in a kadai..add the cumin seeds n let them splutters, add the diced onions, crushed ginger, crushed garlic pods..n stir them continously until the raw smells goes on as well as the onions turns transculent, slit open the green chilly.. add the chilly n tomato pieces to the already cooked veggies, stir them until the tomatoes turns bit mushy... add the  red chilly powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder n salt, keep the flame in simmer n close the kadai with the lid..cook them well until the oil get separated....add the green bell pepper pieces n cook for few minutes, keep them a bit tender, else they will turn mushy..

Add the already cooked cubed paneer to the kadai..stir it until the spices get well mixed to the paneer cubes..add the chopped coriander leaves n put off the stove..

Can also fry the paneer cubes with ghee instead of making them tender by adding them in hot water, as they get burned very easily i prefer cooking them in hot water..

Serve them hot with Chappathis, Parathas..
