Nalesniki, are thin or thick crepes filled with various fillings like fruits, cheese or else with savory fillings. Though some sites call this Nalesniki as Pancakes, personally i felt that they are bigger in size than the pancakes, hence for me they are crepes. When filled with a cottage cheese filling, these Polish crepes are called Polish Blintzes or filled crepes. However this Polish crepes are very easy to learn though cooking them need some practice. I have been looking for a different crepes and i got hooked to this Polish crepes especially those crepes prepared with the savory filling. However my family members doesnt like savory filling, hence i went with sweet filling. Do you know those traditional cream cheese filled Polish crepes, once filled and rolled, they can be baked, pan fried or dipped in beaten egg and bread crumbs and fried as much as like rolls.
Am running this week's blogging marathon with Crepes for all time as this week's theme, after two interesting crepes today am sharing this fantastic soft, fluffy and delicious Polish crepes. Kids enjoyed this fluffy crepes with their favourite nutella and we loved them simply with cream cheese filling. You can enjoy this crepes from your breakfast to dinner with your favourite filling. As much as like usual crepe batter, this Polish crepes calls for eggs, flour, milk. Leftover crepes can be wrapped in foil and kept in fridge for upto two days, if you want to eat them later.

1/2cup Water
2 Eggs
1cup All purpose flour
1tsp vanilla
Pinch of salt
Filling:
1cup Cream cheese
sugar to taste
1tsp vanilla
Raisins (optional)
Mix together cheese, sugar, vanilla and raisins (optional) in a bowl to make the filling and set aside.
Take all the ingredients given for the batter in a blender and blend everything as smooth batter.
Heat a pan, grease it and pour a small ladle of batter to the greased pan. Cook it and once the sides of the crepe start to lift, flip it over and fry lightly on the other side.
Spread a small amount of filling on one side, then either gently roll up or fold into quarters.
If you want your crepes bit crispy, dont forget to slice them as two pieces and pan fry them with butter.
Serve warm.

I'm not fond of sweetness in the crepes, but you have got an interesting filling there. I suppose this will be loved by my family.
