Tawa, this pan is a must in Indian cuisine, most of the Indian dishes are cooked in it, hence this utensil have their important place in every Indian's home. You may wonder why am talking about this pan, i have a reason for it and am running this week's blogging marathon with an interesting theme. My theme is Make in Tawa, obviously the three dishes for this week's marathon is going to be Tawa friendly dishes. For the first day of this week's theme, i couldnt resist to post a delicious and lunch box friendly rice dish with couple of vegetables. Very simple to make this tawa fried rice is definitely an easy breezy rice dish to give a try if you dont have enough time to cook an elaborate meal to pack in your kid's lunch box. If you have cooked rice in your fridge, then this rice gets ready very much quick than you imagine.
With simple spice powders, trust me you can prepare this rice very much easily apart from chopping vegetables.If you have sudden guests, you can prepare this healthy and delicious rice as this rice will definitely tickle everyone's tastebuds. Almost like Tawa pulao, this rice calls for quick tossing and sauteeing preparation, trust me if you prepare this tawa fried rice, am sure this rice will become everyone's favourite at home. Dont forget to give a try, if you want to dish out a simple and satisfying meal to please everyone at home.
3cups Mixed vegetables (chopped)
1no Onion (chopped)
2nos Tomatoes (chopped)
1tsp Ginger garlic paste
1/2tsp Red chilly powder
3cups Cooked Basmati Rice
1/4tsp Turmeric powder
1tbsp Pav bhaji powder
Oil
Salt
Few curry leaves
To Roast & Grind:
1tbsp Coriander seeds
1tsp Cumin seeds
Dry roast the coriander seeds and cumin seeds and grind as powder.
Heat enough oil in a large kadai, fry the chopped onions,ginger garlic paste and sauté until the onions turns transculent.
Add immediately chopped tomatoes,cook until the turns mushy.
Now add the vegetables along with red chilly powder, pav bhaji powder,turmeric powder, cook for few minutes.Cook in simmer few minutes until the vegetables gets cooked.
Immediately add the cooked rice, grounded powder and toss gently until everything get well mixed.
Enjoy warm with any sort of side dish or raitas.

That is a delicious and filling Tawas fried rice.
I will always remember the tawa pull we had in Ahmedabad with the whole BM group for #25 Meet. It was amazing. A whole lot of foods got attached to those three days.
I can have this fried rice everyday. Looks so yummy.
