After a delicious and quite an alluring bread, today's post is going to be an another interesting baked goodies which i crossed in a French site while i was searching for a dish name starts with 'D'. I completely fallen in love with this cookies as they ressembles quite like the Lady's finger biscuits which is much needed for making Tiramisu, but trust me the ingredients you need for making this ultimate Doigts de Fée is compeletely different from the Lady's finger biscuits. While googling, i found that this biscuits have its origin from an ancient Morroccan biscuits, which is later carried towards France. Still none is able to give exact Origin of this cookies, however its doesnt matter coz France is a multicultural country and its not a surprise at all.
Initially, my choice with the letter 'D' was a simple dessert which asks just for few scoops of vanilla icecream, meringue and a chocolate sauce. Since i dont want to stick with an easy dessert,i kept on searching for an interesting dish and finally i decided to go with this Angel's finger cookies. With simple ingredients, without any leavening agents, you can bake this incredible cuties with less efforts. If you are following my space, you might have noticed that am running a long month of blogging marathon with Journey through the cuisines as this month's theme, i picked French cuisine as my choice of cuisine for this whole month,and posting different French dishes.

1cup All purpose flour
100grams Butter (room temperature)
1 Egg white
1/2cup Almond powder
1/2cup Icing sugar
1/2tsp Vanilla extract
Icing sugar (for dusting)
Take the flour, butter, egg white, almond powder, icing sugar, vanilla extract in a bowl.
Knead everything well until its forms a soft and slightly sticky dough.
Wrap the dough and arrange in fridge for half an hour.
Line a baking sheet over a baking tray, make small sized balls out of the dough, dust the surface and roll it as a finger like shape.
Preheat the oven to 350F. Arrange them to the already lined baking sheet with enough space in between.
Bake for 10-12 minutes.
Let it cool completely and dust it with icing sugar. Enjoy with your favourite drink.
