I have baked few christmas themed bakes during my chirstmas holidays and i have few sitting in my draft, obviously i want to clear them and here comes one among those christmas special bakes is this flaky, pesto christmas tree. This christmas tree asks for two puff pastry and few tablespoons of pesto. Just with this two ingredients you can just bake this cute, dangerously addictive, buttery and flaky snacks or appetiziers for a get together. Trust me, kids will go crazy if they saw this ultimate christmas tree in front of them. Very easy to make, and definitely one of the quickest snacks to make yourself with some kids around. Yes ask your kids to join with you to help, am sure they will just enjoy thoroughly making this edible christmas tree.
Am running my third week of blogging marathon with Kid's delight-Baked snacks as theme for this week. Obviously this week is going to be baked and delicious snacks. If you have puff pastry at home, dont forget to bake this flaky snacks to enjoy with a cup of tea.Since this edible tree asks for less efforts, this baked flavourful pesto christmas tree is quite easy to bake if you dont have any idea to dish out for your evening snacking.Check out the Blogging Marathon page for the other Blogging Marathoners doing BM#60.Sending to Kid's Delight - Baked Snacks guest host by PJ, event by Srivalli.
2nos Puff Pastry sheets
Pesto (as per need)
Arrange the puff pastry on a baking tray. Preheat the oven to 400F.
Spread the pesto over the first sheet of pastry. Cover it with the second sheet.
Cut out the shape of a tree, dont throw away the rest of the dough, you can cut it into pieces and serve them alongside the tree. Twist the branches well.
I have cut some hearts with the remaining puff pastry sheet using a heart shaped cutter to decorate.
Brush with the top milk, place the hearts as your desire.
Bake in the oven for 15-20minutes.
Serve warm.
