Date syrup, actually i make it often whenever i feel like feeding my kids with this healthy fruits, unfortunately everytime i make either i feel lazy to click and post here or else they will get vanished very much quickly even before i feel like writing a post. But this time, i couldnt stop myself clicking few clicks as i want to post my style of date syrup without any fail as am running blogging marathon with Homemade Product - make at home as this week's theme. After making an easy breezy yellow cake mix, my today's post goes to this healthy homemade date syrup, nothing can beat this homemade syrup eventhough a famous Indian brand do exists.I like mine and this syrup is quite easy to make at home.
Eventhough its bit time consuming, this syrup can be prepared with just two ingredients. Dates and water is very much need for making this syrup however i like to spice them with cardamom or else simply with vanilla, my today's post goes for vanilla pod. Trust me, the addition of vanilla, makes this syrup more aromatic and obviously the subtle flavor of vanilla gives a different touch to this simple healthy syrup. You can enjoy this syrup as a topping on pancakes, waffles,in smoothies or else simply to sweeten your morning coffee. You have numerous way to enjoy this spiced syrup.Check out the Blogging Marathon page for the other Blogging Marathoners doing BM#52.
1cup Pitter dates

Pour the hot boiling water to the pitted dates and let them in overnite.
Next day, blend them as fine paste and strain them with a cheesecloth.
Transfer the strained date-water mixture to a heavy bottomed vessel and cook in medium flame for few minutes.
Remove the vanilla grains from the pod and drop them to the boiling date syrup.
Cook in simmer until the syrup gets thicks.
Let it cool completely and transfer it to an air tightened bottle.
Add enough syrup to warm milk and enjoy.
